Krishna Makhanchor - Mischief Matters More

This story paints a vivid picture of little Krishna, affectionately known as Makhanchor, the butter thief, who would go to any lengths to get his hands on the creamy, delicious butter stored carefully by the gopis. As the gopis gather to complain to Krishna’s mother, Yashoda, they recount his adorable yet naughty antics. Krishna and the Twin Trees

After countless complaints from the gopis about Krishna’s butter-stealing antics, his mother, Yashoda, decides to discipline her naughty child. She ties him to a heavy mortar, hoping to keep him out of trouble. However, Krishna, undeterred by the restraint, drags the mortar along with him as he continues to explore and play.

As Krishna moves through the courtyard, the mortar becomes wedged between two tall, ancient trees. But these aren’t just ordinary trees—these are the transformed bodies of Manigreeva and Nalkuber, the two mischievous sons of Kuber, the god of wealth. Cursed by Narad Rishi for their misbehavior, they had been stuck as trees for 100 long years, waiting for someone to release them.

With a simple pull, Krishna not only frees himself from the mortar but also uproots the twin trees, breaking the curse and liberating the two brothers. As they regain their original forms, they bow before Krishna, expressing their gratitude and recognizing the divine nature of the child who saved them. This story beautifully illustrates Krishna’s divine power and his role as a liberator, even as a young child. Listen to the full story at

Further in Krishna Tales, here is the story in which Yashoda see the world inside the mouth of Krishna, an incredible story.

Here we delve into the powerful story of how Krishna, with his wisdom and divine strength, protected the people of Vrindavan from the wrath of Indra, the king of the heavens, and taught them the importance of devotion to nature.

The serene fields of Vrindavan become the setting for another thrilling adventure when Aghasur, a fearsome demon sent by Kansa, takes the form of a gigantic python. Aghasur, determined to avenge the deaths of his siblings, Bakasur and Putana, and destroy Krishna, devises a cunning plan. He opens his massive jaws wide and lies still on the ground, appearing like a dark, inviting cave to unsuspecting passersby.

As Krishna and his friends, the cowherd boys, explore the forest, they stumble upon what looks like a mysterious cave. Entranced by its size and eager for adventure, they enter the python’s mouth, unaware of the danger lurking within. As soon as they are inside, Aghasur prepares to close his jaws, ready to swallow them whole.

Sensing the imminent threat, Krishna acts swiftly to protect his friends. Demonstrating his divine power and courage, he expands his form within the python, blocking its throat and suffocating the demon from the inside. Unable to breathe, Aghasur collapses, and his life force escapes, revealing his true form as a demon. Krishna then safely leads his friends out of the python’s mouth, saving them and bringing peace to Vrindavan once again.

After the defeat of his siblings, Aghasur and Putana, Vakasur is filled with anger and a desire for vengeance. Determined to succeed where his brother and sister had failed, Vakasur agrees to Kansa’s command to kill Krishna. Transforming himself into a massive crane with sharp beak and claws, he soars over the serene fields of Vrindavan, searching for his target.

As Krishna and his friends enjoy their day playing by the Yamuna River, Vakasur suddenly appears, casting a dark shadow over them. With his gigantic wings and menacing appearance, Vakasur swoops down, his beak snapping fiercely, ready to attack Krishna. The boys scatter in fear, but Krishna stands his ground, calmly facing the monstrous bird.

Vakasur tries to devour Krishna in one swift gulp, but Krishna’s divine power and strength prevent the demon from succeeding. In a dramatic confrontation, Krishna seizes Vakasur by the beak and, with a mighty force, tears it apart. Vakasur’s true form is revealed as he lets out a final cry and falls to the ground, defeated by the young divine hero. The skies clear, and peace is restored to Vrindavan once more.

Vrindavan is filled with joy as Krishna and his friends take their cattle to graze by the lush green fields. The serene scene is suddenly clouded by the arrival of Vatsasur, a demon sent by the evil king Kamsa to kill Krishna. Taking the form of a calf with fiery red eyes, Vatsasur cleverly hides among the innocent calves of the herd, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Krishna, however, notices something unusual. His sharp eyes catch the menacing look of Vatsasur, whose evil presence is masked by his innocent appearance. Sensing danger, Krishna remains calm and watches Vatsasur’s every move, waiting for the right moment to act. When the demon finally lunges at him, Krishna is ready.

In a swift and unexpected move, Krishna grabs the demon calf by its hind legs and swings it around with tremendous force. Vatsasur, unable to escape Krishna’s grip, is hurled high into the air, flying across the fields. Such is the power of Krishna’s throw that Vatsasur is flung all the way back to Mathura, landing at Kamsa’s feet. The demon dies instantly upon impact, his evil plan thwarted by Krishna’s quick thinking and strength.

The evil king Kamsa, desperate to get rid of Krishna and Balarama, devises a new plan to eliminate them. He invites the two brothers to his court in Mathura for a grand wrestling match, hoping to pit them against his most powerful wrestlers, Chanur and Mushtika. Known for their immense strength and fearsome reputation, Chanur and Mushtika have never been defeated, and Kamsa is confident that they will overpower the young boys.

As Krishna and Balarama enter the arena, the crowd is filled with both excitement and tension. Chanur, the mightiest of Kamsa’s wrestlers, steps forward to face Krishna, while Mushtika challenges Balarama. The wrestlers, towering and muscular, sneer at the seemingly small boys before them, underestimating their divine strength and skill.

The battle begins, and the arena erupts with cheers and gasps. Krishna, displaying incredible agility and strength, engages Chanur with a series of swift and powerful moves. Despite Chanur’s size and power, Krishna effortlessly dodges his attacks, using his divine agility to stay one step ahead. In a surprising turn of events, Krishna overpowers Chanur with a series of strategic moves and a display of immense strength, eventually lifting the mighty wrestler and throwing him to the ground with such force that Chanur is defeated.

After defeating the mighty wrestlers Chanur and Mushtika in the wrestling arena, Krishna and Balarama are summoned by the tyrant king Kamsa, who is now filled with rage and fear. Realizing his doom is near, Kamsa tries desperately to control the situation, ordering his soldiers to capture Krishna and Balarama and eliminate the threat once and for all.

But Krishna, unwavering and fearless, steps forward to face Kamsa, knowing that the time has come to end the wicked king’s reign. Kamsa, armed and desperate, charges at Krishna with all his might, but Krishna, with his divine strength and agility, easily evades his attacks. The crowd watches in awe as Krishna moves with lightning speed, displaying his supernatural abilities.

In a swift and decisive moment, Krishna leaps onto Kamsa’s throne, grabs the tyrant by the hair, and pulls him down to the arena floor. A fierce struggle ensues, but it is clear that Kamsa is no match for Krishna’s divine power. With a final powerful strike, Krishna slays Kamsa, bringing an end to his reign of terror.

The people of Mathura, who had suffered under Kamsa’s cruel rule for so long, erupt in joy and relief, chanting Krishna’s name in celebration. With Kamsa’s death, peace and justice are restored to the land, and Krishna fulfills the prophecy that foretold the end of Kamsa at his hands.
